Security System:
A security system provided by Secure Management Logistics has been installed in the building. The firm provided the equipment and installation free with Cornerstone meeting monitoring costs. Following three break-ins and the theft of valuable electronic equipment in 2004 this was considered a wise investment.
Maintenance:
Over the January period a team of willing workers have cleaned the kitchen and storerooms and completed various maintenance tasks including a number of trips to the tip. Walls, windows and facilities in the two toilet areas have been professionally steam cleaned.
January Board Meeting:
A special Board meeting was held to review 2004 and plan for 2005. The Board considered the success of programs and the availability of leaders and volunteers available in 2005. As a result of this review a number of program changes will be made. Overall, apart from the Thursday Night program which will be discontinued at this stage, the amount of time Cornerstone will be open will remain the same with programs every Saturday Nights and extra Sunday programs. These will be outlined at the Volunteers Meeting on Thursday 27th. |
